The USAT Liberty Wreck Dive
The US Liberty was a cargo ship used during both WW I and WW II. After being torpedoed by the Japanese, The Liberty, made its way to the shores of Tulamben where it still lies today. The eruption of Mount Agung in 1963 devastated surrounding villages and pushed the beached US Liberty to the bottom of the sea where it now lies on a black sand slope from 6 to 30 metres. This 120 metre long wreck lays only at 50 metres from the beach and is one of the safest wreck dives in the world. Now covered with a striking array of coral and home to a myriad of marine life this site provides great opportunities for both wide and macro photography. With easy conditions it’s a great place for all level divers.

Coral Garden Dive
This dive site is a stunning coral garden gently sloping down from the surface to 18 mts situated a short distance up the beach from the US Liberty wreck. It is home to numerous species of reef fish, nudibranch, beautiful blue-yellow ribbon eels and juvenile white tip reef sharks which are commonly found in the shallows. This dive site offers superb snorkeling with none to moderate current.

Drop Off Dive
The Drop Off is an attractive wall that when the conditions are correct can be a spectacular dive for spotting reef sharks and schooling trevally or barracudas. For the macro lovers there are great chances to find pygmy sea-horses in the sea fans, leaf scorpion fish or ghost pipefish hiding in the black coral bushes. Many rare nudibranch, shrimps and critters may be seen in the sandy shallow area near the shore. Keep your eyes out for huge bumphead parrotfish grazing on the reef or around the wall. This site has great potential for both snorkelers and divers alike .
